Nottingham Forest Shock Liverpool with Callum Hudson-Odoi’s Late Winner

In a stunning upset at Anfield, Nottingham Forest secured a 1-0 victory over Liverpool, thanks to a sensational goal from substitute Callum Hudson-Odoi. The winger came off the bench and delivered a trademark goal, curling a perfect shot into the bottom corner, beyond the reach of Alisson. This win marks Forest’s first triumph over Liverpool at Anfield since 1969, ending the home side’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season under new manager Arne Slot.

Liverpool entered the match with confidence, having won their first three games without conceding a goal. Despite dominating the first half and creating several chances, including Luis Diaz striking the post from a tight angle, they couldn’t find the net. Forest’s goalkeeper Matz Sels made crucial saves, notably from an Alexis Mac Allister header, and survived a close call when he almost fumbled Diaz’s shot into his own goal.

In the second half, Forest grew into the game, with Morgan Gibbs-White and Anthony Elanga both coming close to scoring. However, it was Hudson-Odoi’s strike that sealed the victory for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side. Liverpool struggled to respond, failing to create any clear-cut chances to equalize despite the Anfield crowd’s efforts to rally their team.
